Come on, you've got to have a live favourite or prefer a particular version.
The Surfer Rosa version for me is possibly the best, because I know every single sound that's about to happen and it just thrills me to hear it, even though it's basically just...noise!
I like seeing live videos though, and seeing him whack his strings with one of Dave's drumsticks in the more recent gigs. It's great to see how it's evolved into something that now uses pedals too. It's never been the same, ever. Love it.
Special mention to town and country club, London '88. The B Sides version. The clattering of the amp!

Surfer Rosa's version is amazing, that one part where it sounds like the guitar is playing in reverse while also sounding like a sci-fi weapon being shot off or melted, it's just an amazing few seconds in a great solo.
Live, pne of my favorites is Detroit, 11/22/04. It goes on and on, Joey pulls his cord from the guitar and uses it to generate noise; the whole concert is excellent, Frank abandoning the setlist and making it up as they go along.
I usually like whatever Joey plays right before Dave does the double drum part that signals the end of the solo. I really love versions where Frank goes up to the microphone to sing, but doesn't and Joey just keeps making crazy sounds.
There's a version from Los Angeles, maybe in 2010 or '11 where Joey runs his iphone over the strings, it's pretty good. I really like the version from Brazil in 2010, I think, when they played a really long show.
I love Vamos, it's a great song and I'm always excited to see what Joey will do during the solo; sometimes it's shorter, sometimes it goes on and on, which I love.

Arm Arm Arm that solo was spliced together by Albini.I believe he did say about playing some bits backwards when he put the solo from all the parts Joey played in the studio.

Yes, thanks, I had heard that as well. I'm not 100% sure if that's the part I'm talking about, it's from 2:04 to 2:06.
There's also the wonderful sounds at 1:54 that sound like whale song to me.
