Great Topic!!
I can't post pics now, but I would say my 3 most cherished material possessions are:
1) T-shirt from the first tour from the Frank Black debut album
2) Doolittle Promo Poster
3) this 4 mini-LP death to the pixies thing. it has two hidden tracks, from the demos that ended up being released later on that frankblackfrancis cd.

Wow Tro, I just saw your tickets now. The kettles on, then I'm going to check them out.

The cover art I made.

Hey fbc, should I post the cover art I made for my boots in this thread?

Here's my autographed Pistolero LP. He signed it with my silver sharpie and his black one at the same time. Pretty cool.

Hey Denis! Sorry if I got it all wrong and you weren't talking about bootlegs, but if you happen to have a recording of the Bataclan show of the Catholics on Paris 29 /11/2003, please give me a sign! I've been looking for this for approximatively 536636 billions of years. *

I bought Death To The Pixies on vinyl ages ago, but never listened to it and totally didn't know that... That's terrific!

Hello folks,

Been into Charles Frank Black Francis Seven Fingers Thompson's stuff
for some time now.

I actually got into his solo stuff before I'd even heard of the Pixies.

It's a long story..

Link to a tribute thread I put together on a recording site if you're interested.

Y'know, upon listening again I don't know that he is necessarily losing his voice, just affecting his voice in moments that make it seem possible that he may be about to lose his voice. How's that for a disclaimer. In any case, it is a full band version, to my understanding done during the TOTY sessions as it sounds simply like an alternate vocal take over the same track, and can be found on the bonus disc included in the double disc TOTY cd.

Say, does anyone know where one could purchase this poster? Long out of production I am sure.
Maybe 4AD/Electra could print some more as you could sell a lot of them.

Some envious stuff here. I wish I had kept my 1991 ticket for the pixies at the secc instead of sending back in to get a Ł5 (half price) refund. I wonder if anyone still has the ticket to that.

I also wish I had picked up the guest list at the end of the night at Zwolle, which I could easily have done to prove I was AAA at the last ever solo gig FB played in Europe to this day. Ironically I won an official AAA pass for that tour, but it's not the pass I used to to attend the after gig party, the on where I was was still suffering from PTSD from the day before, it was epic.
