found this in storage the other day. an ex-girlfriend from long ago gave it to me (god bless her). i guess it was part of some kind of collectible cards they released for each pixie. she had it framed for me. i'm at a point now in my life where i can look at it and enjoy it without being reminded of old relationship baggage. anyone ever seen these?

i got other shit in my back pocket for this thread but wanted to see what you guys have to share

Heh, I won some ebay auction for some Frank Black cards a few years ago, only PayPal wouldn't process funds for me so I had to cancel it in the end. Bah.

It was like this only there were more. http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AC-Frank-Black-Pixies-Solo-Jim-Beam-Music-Game-Collector-Card-/360474072821

Unless it was just the one and I got the wrong impression. Regardless I'm cardless.

Ditto. We both have that huge TOTY poster too if I remember right. I'm gonna take pics of my stuff and will upload.

I went through a spell some years back where I snapped up every FB EP I could find. Quite an addiction.

I used to make my own tees and stuff when I was younger. I do it now mainly for the little ones.
I didn't make this jacket but I did make the Pixie patch and sewed it on myself. It's been in the wardrobe for years until now.

I made stickers, too. This one is on my favourite acoustic. I used to have one proudly displayed on my old car window.

that's dope. I love it

ya, I have the oversized Teenager poster too (two actually). plan to get framed for my future man cave. it is costly framing huge posters. just got a 40x60 movie poster framed and it was 4 hundie. worth it though. really brings room together. along with the rug

What's the poster of?

I made a ton of badges, too. Ha what a geek. I made badges and these when SMYT came out and offered them to the forum but I remember being laughed at :)
I think it was around the time of the organic forum tee farce.

I forget, but I'm sure the morse code on the back of these keyrings read "frankblack.net". Maybe someone can decipher it for me when they're bored.

[Rich Gilbert]

One day out of the blue this arrived in the post, totally unexpected. Rich 'oldmancoffeecan' sent it to me. How nice is that?!
I miss him and for a while back there I was worried about him. He just disappeared never to be heard from again. I've tried to track him down but no joy.

Wow. I say that's money well spent. When I was a kid I used to ask the local cinema for their movie posters (the big cardboard cut outs) once a film had finished it's run. They gave me a few too.

It looks great!

Great thread, kudos brochachos. Love some of the stuff on this. The home made stuff is very cool. Never seen some of the vinyl boots either. Here are some of my prized possesions i've picked up over the years.

The Kitchen Tapes is my favourite FB cover ever!

It was the second disc of the man's I purchased back in the day. The first: TOTY!

[December 2004] This was and still is a great read. I keep it in the bathroom for whenever i'm doing a floop.
Quite a few pages about the band and "quotes" from crew etc..

quote:
Thompson went to lengths to keep the old days at bay. "Once Kim asked to see Frank Black," Wallace recalls,
"and Charles went through the guest-list and scribbled her name off. The girl just wanted to see him play because she think's he's the greatest songwriter alive."

Don't think I have anything other than a couple of recent Pixies t-shirts and the brown -P- hoody.

I did have a Black Francis harmonica hoody that was stolen and a black -P- t-shirt that I forgot in a tent in Germany. The hoody was pretty badly designed but I'm still annoyed!

cool thread - we've done this before several times over the years i think...

poster wise, I have a few not shown here - a big A0 doolittle one. it's looking a little ragged now, but it's not one i've seen elsewhere, and google search hasn't given me a pic and I can't be bothered pulling it out of the tube - has the album cover with a smaller picture of the band underneath with the words "if man is five, then the devil is six and god is seven" written along the bottom.

also got these two:

and a heap of singles of frank's. maybe one day i'll pull 'em all out and take some pics.

all i can say, thank god for polio! brian
