before we start I think we should have a question- is the whole universe around us existing at the same time that we are on this planet?

Slightly off topic, I always wonder the consequences of living away from Earth on our bodies, considering we've evolved under Earth's gravity.

I read something briefly about the effects on astronauts' eyes.

I was always encouraged to ask questions no matter how dumb so, what do you mean by "existing at the same time", pot? I'm still blown away by looking at the stars and seeing into the past. I'm in awe of it all. No I haven't been toking.

Astronauts experience muscle atrophy within just a few days because of zero-g. It's something high too, like 15% atrophy...which is bad if they re-enter to quickly. It's like space-bends!

The company Mars One who hopes to send the first settlers to Mars in 2023 are gonna have to come up with some sort of artificial gravity thing, otherwise those pioneers are gonna wind up on Big Red like wet noodles after 7 months in space.

I'm suprised no-one has designed a space station like the one in 2001, that spins round and generates centrifugal gravity.

I was drunk as a skunk when I made this thread, evidently

Yeah think I was just marvelling at the wonder that is the universe, how big it is and how far away everything is, kind of makes the whole concept of space and time hard to get your head round.

Really miss a good smoke as well these days, can't really get anything that isn't over priced and barely touches the sides. Fed up with it. Haven't been in Holland for >2 years now, and from what I hear coffeeshops might not exist for buitenlanders like me next time I am there.

Really need to get high, and go for a long walk in the hills, feel the air flowing through my veins and all that.

Things seems to be changing slowly in America right now with about half the states having legalised it medicinally, although the feds are clamping down on it too. Big talking point in upcoming presidential elections. Not really sure where Obama stands on this, he used to be a big smoker himself like George Washington, but now it's hard to tell whether or not the fed raids are down to him, or whether he actually has no power to stop it. Either way I hope he gets back and not that dodgy cunt Romney, saw a clip of him being questioned by a guy in a wheel chair about pot and he just walked away and dodged it. Don't trust him as far as I could launch my own brain into space.

Be nice if Roseannae Barr got in, but that's not really likely to happen is it. She is totally pro weed though, so you never know, I think the majority of voters in America are now in favour of legalisation, and as time moves on and the reefer madeness generation all pop their clogs to be replaced by a younger more in the loop generation that's only going to rise.

Sadly though for us Brits we have to make do with the tories and being isolated from any place in the world that grows nice weed by the fucking sea.
