It amazes me just how many old bands there really are that i haven't heard. Just listened to first one- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZA7WRql8kJg
Liked it. Next-
Thanks for sharing Tartar, I love hear new and obscure stuff, will edit in my opinions on the others if I listen to them and like them
edit1
Les thugs! great stuff... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kXHjSzotyq4
edit2- no point in giving you a thing by thing breakdown on it all, but least I'm not on The Plugz. Listened to all your links so far Tart, and liked them. We should really have a you tube party sometime, I think you might win

these last two are my favourites so far. Thankyou for sharing. please wait until I or someone else is drunk again before you post any things else
I found this linking from from one of those links, never heard of it at all, but love it all the same. Wow this thread is a bit like listening to the radio in the evening back in the 80s

I've been blessed with roommates that dig far below the surface, in addition to my own sifting. I wanted to share some of our findings.

My mate used to have a record shop and he has a load of old rare vinyl shit on MP3 which he kindly donated to me. Haven't touched the sides of those discs barely, but occasionally I stumble across one that is noteworthy. Let's have a shambles by The Country Teasers
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YoZJReh4JY4
Here's a pig with a wig, and a cat with a hat, and a dog with a log, and a hen with a pen, and a fish with a dish, and a bee with a key, and a cow with a plough, and a mouse with a house, and a rat with a bat, and an eel with a wheel, and a boy with a toy, and a girl with a curl, and a man with a pan
Whirling Round by Kinobe (not that old but fairly obscure)

Anyone ever heard Captain Beefheart & Mr Neal by The Angel Brothers and Ian McMillan?
Can't find it on you tube, so no link sorry, but I can tell you what compilation album it's off if you ask me nicely.
It features a well known local DJ from Barnsley in the north of england, he talks throughout it like he is talking on the radio, about music in the 70s in Britain, and listening to John Peel on the radio. It's very good, best accent in the world(Yorkshire), funny and also the band play good backing music to it. |

Chameleons - Singing Rules Britannia
Fuck the closing Olympic ceremony tomorrow and all the lame ass brit pop shit that will undoubtedly centre around it. Fuck the Olympics in general and especially the superficial feel good vibe that some ascribe to right now. When the glory of Team GB subsides all the problems we still have in society will still be there. Fuck you cunts.
