as i remember, Rich Gilbert was away and didn't play the album and the L.A. shows. Dave Philips played A LOT, and Lyle and Joey joined the band later in the L.A. sets.

Bartholomew doesn't strike me as Workman, but it may be. That's one of my favorite solos on any FB song.

the solo on bartholomew is too simple and melodic to be dave p. the meandering, anti-climactic solos are dave p. the succinct awesome ones are somebody else.

I'm almost positive Dave P. came up with that very simple note sequence in Whiskey in your Shoes, which adds an extra layer of coolness to that song. And the solo is also great. That makes up for whatever meandering solos he did on those other DW songs.
