Pre-sale is on now. $72.50 and you get a shirt. And I'd buy tickets to a show without seat or row number, why?

wow. that seems quite expensive.
ok, it comes with a t-shirt, but what if you don't care about the t-shirt? then it's an expensive ticket. i've seen some shows are even more expensive, up to $99.50. (others are only $66.50.)

i guess you can always wait until this "pre-sale" is over and the rest of the tickets become available. i can only assume they'll be a lot cheaper. right?

I agree, however, I won't comment on the reasons FB continues to 'milk' Pixies fans for all their hard earned cash. The fact that he's playing in Napa should say it all. ill wait until the Pixie craze runs its course and hopefully catch him solo if he hatches some new tunes. Too many other up and coming bands that deserve to be seen and heard. In FB's defense, he needs to finance his retirement, medical bills and mortgage.

My dad used to figuratively say, "There's an ass for every seat."

In this case that statement can be taken literally.

I'm an ass for paying £90 to see the Pixies. If only I'd bought NME the week they announced the tour...

Don't forget that they wouldn't be doing these shows if they weren't still selling so well. A lot of people still haven't seen The Pixies. Especially in these cities. I bought my tickets. Call me an ass if you want to.

I'm sure they could still fill all those the seats for half the price.

90 quid a pop though, that's probably more than enough to put the touts off, and then all the proceeds are going to the band.

One thing that really pleases me from that Yahoo review is the Vamos video -- Joey appears to have mostly ditched the effects for his, uh, "solo", and it sounds so much rawer for it. Yay!
