Pixies' Black Francis is coming to Old Rock
House

We have just learned that Pixes frontman Frank
Black (a.k.a. Black Francis) is playing an
acoustic show at Old Rock House on July 19th.
He's released thirteen solo albums since the
first breakup of his old band, and a fourteenth is
on the way later this year. Tickets are $20 in
advance and $23 day of show. Let's all give a
loud-quiet-loud cheer as we clear some
calendar room.
He hasn't posted the tour yet on his web site, so we have no idea how many stops he'll be
making or what sort of magnitude we're talking about. We do know he'll be solo and
playing acoustic, which is a little off his beaten path. The Pixies just wrapped up a spring
tour in Canada on May 5th, for what that's worth.

That grabbed my attention too but I presume they're on about the Reid Paisley collaboration.
Really hope that whenever he makes his next Black Francis rock album that he puts together a touring band and comes back to Europe. It's been too long. |

| Good to hear that he rebuked some drunken idiots who kept talking. Went to a Modest Mouse concert about two years ago and there was a horrendous amount of talking going on during the set. |
