He mentioned this a few years ago but it never surfaced. I believe it was an alt version of BLD recorded with studio musicians.

Hey Mac, yes i remember this idea as well. It was a real teaser. Love that record. I thought i remember it being the Catholics demo versions of the songs before they were full on recorded. Either way would be great to hear them.
Seems kind of quiet in FB\BF land right now. Hopefully he is busy at work on a new (catholics) record.!!

I agree with the "seems kind of quiet" sentiment, Sam, but I would stress the "seems" part of that. It helps to remind myself that the man's been absurdly productive over the past year or so.

We had the glorious Der Golem box set and NonStopErotik released, what, eight or nine months ago? And there's the stripped down version of Der Golem on the way, plus a new Grand Duchy thing on the way, the intriguing rock opera thing. And the production work, and the Pixies tour.

Yeah, I'd love a new BFB record every six months, but seems to me he's a busy man.

It hasn't been too quiet on the front, Abbabubba, golem single disc and the vlog compilation were released, pixies were on tour, grand duchy has a record coming out soon - pretty busy actually!

Yeah - i mean there is product to buy coming out, but the golem has been kicking around for quite a while, the best part of two years since the san fran debut i think.
While the abbabubba comp is songs that to my mind have been kicking around for a bit. E.G - dead mans curve - the seus - virginia reel - gyaneshwar. Alot of stuff from around svn fngrs and bluefinger era.

as for the VLOGs that dosnt really get me too pumped. Its not like i'm gonna stick them on my ipod.

Dont get me wrong, being a BF/FB fan is great, the man always has something cooking, i just dont know what the latest is.

As brank mentioned the next could be Grand Duchy, but to be controversial, that doesnt count for me. Those records havent really got my juices going. As opposed to the golem etc.

Anyway - not complaining just hope that BF is tinkering at something majestic i am unaware of.

Yeah he's been plenty busy but BLD demos would be an awesome release for fans so hopefully he'll find time soon.
