This thread is for the sad trainspottery type Pixies fanz. Post here when you hear a Pixies song played in a new TV show or film.
I tried searching for a thread like this, but of course I didn't really know what exactly to search for so I created a new thread.
They just played Monkey Gone to Heaven at the end of Horizon on BBC2 tonight (UK) which was all about infinity and that this week.
Typical horizon these days, it went kind of like this, oh yeah and infinty is like really big, no but you don't understand it's like really really really fucking massive! In fact no it's so big that you just can't imagine how big it is! It's totally massive! It's bigger than a million billion gazillion googleplexions!
All wank and no actual science, when they get to the science they just skim over it, or just show scenes of some scientists with a 'WOW!' expression on his face. Just get stoned bitchez!
My physics mentor once said to me, you will never understand anything in physics unless you can explain it to the man in the pub. Well, that says a lot for the producers of Horizon.
Might as well just get Ross and Brand talking about it, at least we'd get a few nob gags.
Boring.
But the 30 seconds of Monkey Gone to Heaven, in my semi-drunken current state, has inspired me to spontaneously listen to Doolittle, even though I am still a bit bored of hearing it following teh recent 20th anniversary tour.
Poast here whens the Pixies come on the telly or in a film that nobody has realised before!
I didn't know where else to put this. I need an outpost for my madness sometimes, you know. |

This may be the worst typed headline in site history. Congratulations, pot.

Where is My Mind? turns up yet again in film world, this time as a mellow piano version in It's Kind of a Funny Story. And they get mentioned twice in script. |

I am pretty sure in the UK that Silver is being used to promote the American version of The Killing on channel 4.

Huh, I think I've seen that commercial without noticing it. Is it really WIMM? It's really close, but is significantly altered? |

One of the characters in Young Adult (2011) is seen wearing a Death to the Pixies shirt (with matching checked shirt) and later in the film another character is seen wearing a Breeders shirt. No Pixies songs that I could discern, in fact the soundtrack for the movie pretty much sucked ass and the film was average #pixiesgeek |
