Hi everybody! This is my first post ever, so don't be too rough on the newbie.

First, a shout out to Dean for straightening the registration process on fb.net for me! (I was experiencing some technical difficulties getting set up on here)

Secondly, I wanted to share a short video I made of my car for some friends several years ago. Its funny how you can have a lot of common ground with friends in certain areas but not in others. Namely, they couldn't understand my desire to use a Pixies song for this, or any video for that matter. Living here in Detroit they were a bit more of the "album rock" crowd I guess.

Anyway, check out this vid and let me know what you think. I know its not that great as I'm a total amateur and this was my first-ever attempt at such a thing, but I've got a thick skin so feel free to flame away. lol!

Nice car, cool video. I thought the music worked well (but then again it works well all by itself).

Welcome aboard.

That video is bitchin' like a Camaro.

I remember sitting in a basement listening to Fields of Marigold until I passed out.

I see from your first video "they" (being trolls who work for the record company, youtube and/or i-tunes) linked the song as an i-tunes purchase. I wonder how long it will take them to link this version?

Interestingly, I put my first version of this vid on YouTube back in 2006 and never had any copyright issues. Since that time, I made a couple similar videos for friends and their cars using Queens of the Stone Age for one and Southern Culture on the Skids for the other. BOTH of those videos were removed by YouTube within 24 hours for "copyright infringement" because of the music. I thought for sure that my Challenger video would soon be removed because of my using the Pixies, but it never was.

Then one day, that automated banner ad appeared at the bottom of my video depicting the artist. I would rather have this than my video removed altogether. Besides, you can "X" off the ad, which is cool.
