What about "Poeme Electronique" by Edgard Varese? People tend to give me weird glances when I roll through the neighborhood bumping that out of my car.
Into the dust we struggled...and yet we couldn't make coffee
Most of the music I listen to is experimental electronic stuff. Received yesterday: Deepchord presents Echospace - The Coldest Season (minimal dub techno); Aaron Martin & Machinefabriek - Cello Recycling / Cello Drowning (ambient/drone/whatever); L/M/R/W - Drifts (same); On (=Sylvain Chauveau+Steven Hess+Deathprod)- Your Naked Ghost Comes Back At Night (same)
Autechre have a new album out called Oversteps, just checking it out now on 3voor12. More of the usual, but still sounds pretty interesting and weird. They could make a bit more of an effort with their album covers I think.
Just sampled a few tracks on iTunes and it sounds more classical than electronic to me. Reminds me of some of the 2001 soundtrack though, which is a good thing.
