Hey

I dont think I have ever heard anyone in music or in the real world who I have known who's voice has changed as much as franks over the years.

I think he is some kind of freak of music sent here by god.

Watch his early interviews as a pixie, through to the 94 era through to early 2000 and then till now and it just amazing how much deeper he gets speaking and singing everytime.

Yes peoples voice change slightly as they get older but not as much as his.

I mean frank from 1990 could in no way sing the songs off of say "show me your tears". Just no way.

I mean everyone i know when they were 21 to how they are now , they voice in essentially the same.

It is amazing.

Maybe it has to do with his weight gain but I think there is more mystical things at work here

thoughts................

I'm not sure about weight, I don't think it does
anything that could be considered positive.

I think FB has said in the past he had been given
some advice or training on using his voice in a way
that wasn't physically damaging.

Olympus Mons is as early a song that showcases his
range.

Where are the highest and lowest notes he sings
without using a falsetto? I think Letter From
Memphis has a pretty high note, and End of Miles
is pretty low.

I heard that too. I don't think he could do what he does if he hadn't, if that makes sense.

His voice has matured, much like the good Chateauneuf de Pape which lubricates it occasionally! Depth, warmth, character. He can croon Nashville or scream the early Pixies stuff just as well.

I wasn't so keen on FM/RM - he sounds overly nasal on many of those tracks - but for me his voice came alive again in the more recent BF work.
