BLACK FRANCIS SHOWS IN LOS ANGELES

Winston Calling: A Rock and Comedy benefit concert for baby WInston Bertrand hosted by Black Francis.
Tuesday December 8 @ Echoplex in Los Angeles (1154 Glendale Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90026, tel.213-413-8200) will be Black Francis (that's me!) doing band and solo performances with special guest appearances by people like members of THE PIXIES and LOVE & ROCKETS, FLEA, SHE WANTS REVENGE, WEIRD AL YANKOVIC, MICHAEL PENN, DAVID J, THE 88 and GRAND DUCHY...more to be added as we are able to confirm!
Wednesday December 9 @ The Echo in Los Angeles (1154 Glendale Blvd
Los Angeles, CA 90026, tel.213-413-8200) will an evening of comedy hosted by Black Francis (that's me!) featuring TIM & ERIC (form the Tim & Eric Awesome Show!), BOB ODENKIRK, BRIAN POSEHN, DAVID LOVERING, solo performances from Black Francis plus others to be announced as we can confirm!
$20 adv $25 dos ($35 for both shows Dec 8 & 9)

anyone know if calling is the only way to get tickets to this?
I am in australia, but will most likely be in LA around that date - would love to secure a spot.
And even if i dont make it to the show at least my money goes to the cause. |

i have some old Love & Rockets bootlegs where David sung 'Monkey gone to heaven' bits during 'Kundalini Express'...
if anybody taped the full David J performance then pls let me know...Im looking for setlists, photos, reviews as well for my Bauhaus/related gigography site...

there are lots of online sites that convert youtube videos, like this one http://www.video2mp3.net/
will only sound as good as the youtube compressed audio, but you can do it
i took some pics of the show but don't think i got any of Bauhaus dude. i'm sure there'll be a bunch online / Flicker etc.. lots of people taking pics

Do you mean all the videos of YouTube user http://www.youtube.com/user/okeastron2008? Or just the ones with Frank Black in it?
Or are you talking about other videos?
I tried one, I Bleed. I tried to extract the original audio stream from the YouTube video (which is apparently encoded in AAC): http://www.mediafire.com/?tmadwmntjjk

love the version of "oh my golly" - also pretty neat cause i think this is one pixies song that was never performed live as a band, frank solo or anything, so to see it here is a treat.
