On Sunday I saw Pere Ubu in Paris performing their version of Ubu Roi, the play by Alfred Jarry.
I never saw anything like that before.
That was INCREDIBLE.
That was theatre, that was rock'n roll, that was scarry, funny, exciting.
David Thomas is a pure genius and the greatest performer I have ever seen.
Regular rock concerts now seem such a wank to me.
Go and see them if you can and forget about the hype.

i would like to see such a show one day.

i haven't listened to much pere ubu before. i have final solution which is a great song.

also, excellent line..

Maan. I'm so jealous. Where are all them bootleg DVDs?

I guess I gotta bust out that ol' imagination.
Maybe some Brothers Quay animation.
