On the official ticketmaster site now. On sale tomorrow at 9.

Scotland and possibly Dublin for me then... I'd love to see the very first date of the tour too.

Lot of Irish fans out there!

Everywhere Frank went on his precore tour, he had small audiences of up to 50 folk, but in Dublin he got thousands!

Frank said himself that Dublin was his favourite precore because of it too!

The o2 holds 14,000 which may have been a bit much, I don't know how big a draw Pixies are, but it's gonna be so difficult to get tickets for this. After my failed internet way, I wonder if going to a retailer or calling would be better, I wouldn't have thought so, but my plan didn't exactly work last time!

I managed to get tickets fot the SECC and Brixton, and the way I did it was by spending half an hour constantly phoning up ticketmaster and clicking on the link on their website until I eventually got through.

I was at one point screaming things like "JUST FUCKING CONNECT ME TO WHOEVER IS SELLING TICKETS FOR THE PIXIES!" to the guy on the other end of the phone after dialing 118118, but I managed to get tickets eventually through the web site.

I was pissed and raging at my computer all the time, but it seemed to work.

I guess you could probably also achieve the same ends by simple perseverance, but I stayed up all night supporting my membership for Alcoholics Unanimous, so I got a bit strung out in the process.

I don't know if it's an option but finding the fastest network you can may give you an advantage. I was never able to get Pixies tickets on my home broadband but have managed it a 24hr internet cafe on a 100MBps link

Fuck sake. I had them. I HAD THEM. Four standing tickets reserved, then ticketmaster wouldn't accept my credit card (maxed out possibly, so fair enough) so I try one of my parents cards and it starts asking for all this random information to log in to som alliedirish bank thing. I've never seen it before and I had no idea what their credit limit was.

Fuck it, I had them, and they slipped... :(

Ahhh shitty luck man, sorry to hear that.

I had the same thing when I ordered them, one page then another, and all sorts of boxes to tick I didn't understand.

I ended up donating money to charity because I thought it might increase my chances of going through in the end, and buying insurance, which I later had to cancel.

An error message came up when I was buying the amsterdam tickets, but it seemed to go through anyway and I have a receipt and have been billed. Try phoning them and see if they can sort it out. Demand to speak to their supervisor.

Ah, it was annoying but not the end of the world. To see the Pixies in Dublin again, on the very first night of the tour would have been special, but I realise I'm fortunate enough to see them in Scotland. Roll on secret Irish warm-up show!

The Irish Times - Minibyte - Should Ebay clamp down on the ticket touts?

...The Pixies were another act that were being flogged online. Tickets were on sale for a BIN price of €259 for two,
when the face value was only €55 euro each. One ticket was available for the obscene sum of €179, another for
€195...

I managed to get the tickets thankfully... I was actually at Benicassim at the time, but my brother got tipped off and he was able to get them for me.... Commiserations to those who didn't..

That last article is really good. Probably the first time I've seen a fair analysis of the breakup.

Obviously, a lot of credit due to the fantastic 'Fool the World' book.
