yeah, they asked me about shoes and shirt size

that would be kind of a crappy gift -- "the good news is you're going to get a free pair of shoes, the bad news is they're not your size"

i skated with some french guys yesterday who were travelling across the US for 3 months and skating all the parks. they started in NY, headed to Portland and are now making their way down south and then back over to the East Coast through the Southwest. sounds like a perfect trip. they were actually really cool guys . who would have thought?

Heh. Those guys were all pretty good. The waters were really quite violent but they all stood up. We watched em for about 20 minutes but then all of a sudden it got very boring and we headed off.
