I do a space rock show on the college station and while Frank Black's music isn't stylistically of this genre, the lyrical themes are of that nature and I wanted to pay tribute to an underrated FB solo record (though they're all underrated in a way). You can listen to the podcast here, it's the one from 06-09-09: http://deimos.apple.com/WebObjects/Core.woa/Browse/wmich.edu.1869112429.01869112432

Nice. Cult of Ray's always been one of my favorite Frank albums and a recent listening had me appreciating it all the more. The bridge in I DON'T WANT TO HURT YOU is beautiful in its brevity. MOSH and THE ADVENTURE... are two of his greatest instrumentals.

DANCE WAR into THE CULT OF RAY is an amazing climax.

Did you get any feedback?

My show airs pretty late here (midnight to 2 a.m.) so my listening audience is minimal. I'm not sure how much downloads my podcasts are getting. I used to do daytime variety and hated it because I had a lot of required music to play but there were far more listeners as evidenced by the amount of calls I received. If I'm lucky I get three now.
