Now that would be great, somehow I don't think they'll have any new material though. Maybe I'm just pessimistic?
A Pixies version of a Blufinger/Svn Fngrs song maybe? I'd be interested to hear that. I can just imagine 'When They Come To Murder Me' for example with Kim adding a few "oooohhhhs" and "aaaahhhhs". Ahhh Kim...
That's probabaly too hopeful, I'd like to hear a few of the lesser played songs at least. I really could do with hearing a live version of 'Santo' or 'Oh My Golly'.

| I got a text message from my sister in law at work about it and I was speechless for about 5 minutes. I hope they're not just going to regurgitate the same set again. I'd much rather see Grand Duchy than that I'm afraid. |

I'd go see them play the same set all over again. And it would be better than 98% of the other live shows out there. |

I believe that the Isle Of Wright-website says that they will be no other UK festival-show. Of course that means clubs and non-UK festivals are still possible

| It seems absurd for the Pixies to want to all get together again when they have all their different own projects going on for just one show. ? I am eagerly awaiting to see how this tour pans out, but it is def a waste of pixie fan excitement if they are just doing one show |

the new tour doesn't interest me in the slightest.
i really don't want them to release any new material cause i'm afraid it'll be awful, but it seems silly to tour again if there's no new material to play....
but seeing as they won't be venturing to my part of the world, it doesn't really matter.

Pitchfork: You're playing another Pixies show this summer. Is that just a one-off?
Kim: We're doing dates in June. There's some things. I don't think they're completely confirmed; that's probably the only reason why they haven't been announced. There's one in the Scandinavia area and maybe one Greece. And then there's the Isle of Wight one. That's going to be so cool.
Pitchfork: But you're not going on another big reunion tour?
Kim: Not that I know of, no. We have somebody overseas who books us. If the booking agent gets enough offers, he goes to the band and says, "Guys, I can get you guys a few gigs if you're into it." So that's what's happened.
Pitchfork: So you're into it?
Kim: I really enjoyed playing the [Pixies reunion] shows. I thought that they were really fun. It's fun to play bass in a band. I've played guitar all my life except for the five years with the Pixies I played bass on stage. It's fun to play a different instrument on stage. It's nice not to have to sing. All I have to do is just build up a blister, this one blister on my ring finger. It's the "I Bleed" blister. That requires a certain specific blister on a certain part of my ring finger.
Pitchfork: And that's the only bad thing about it?
Kim: That's the only bad thing about it. I just have to build that blister up. But it's painful. The only way to build a callus up is to create a blister, to wound the skin. But I can do it. I'll steel myself and build a callus up on my ring finger. I can do it.
Pitchfork: Still no plans to record with the Pixies or anything?
Kim: Negative.
