Burden Brothers no more? Doesn't sound like bad news to me.
quote: Hi Teamers,
Big changes are in store for the Burden Brothers Steet Team.
First the bad news.
The Burden Brothers will be on hiatus for some time. We don't consider the band to be broken up, although Zack & Rizzo are no longer members. With that said, we hope to have new Burden Brothers music at some point.
Now the good news.
The Toadies are coming back.
There's some TX shows in December - Austin, San Antonio & Corpus Christi. A few more shows will be announced as well.
There's a rumor there could be new Toadies music coming in 2008 as well as more shows. But again...that's just a rumor........
So on to you guys, our hard working, loyal Burden Brothers Street Teamers.
We'll be converting this street team to The Toadies Street Team.
We need to know if you would still like to stay on as a Toadies Street Teamer.
If you only wanted to work for The Burden Brothers and not The Toadies, we understand, just let us know.
Otherwise in the coming weeks, we'll be making changes here and start promoting the December Toadies shows.
We're reaching out the Fancorps Staff to make these changes. It is our intention that all of you keep your existing ranks and points.
But - this is in the very early stages (we wanted to let you know ASAP) and we're not sure how all of this will work with Fancorps.
We really don't have any more information than this right now. We'll let you know when we know.
Many Thanks to all of you. We really appreciate your support.

Cool! Although I like B.B. enough it was mostly because I loved the Toadies. I thought BB were a bit too MTV slick looking.
Bring back the real stuff. Looking forward to it.

this IS promising, but i hope he can still write good songs. BB was kinda lame. and no lisa, i presume? does that matter? does it matter more or less than the smoking popes without their original drummer?
superdrag's back now, too. with the ORIGINAL lineup. no sam. no ric. was it 'ric'? papas. fischer. john davis's new songs on myspace are embarrassing. i don't even know what to call it. shit, i guess.
to these ears, that is.
i'll put on toadies right now!

Wow. I didn't know about this. I saw Todd (Vaden) Lewis last night at a show we played. That would be great to hear the Toadies again.

I remember you posted a YouTube link of a live performance of one of their songs (can't remember which) Thomas, and I liked it. Oh yeah, and they do the Groovy Ghoulies theme!

I think the song you're talking of is 'Send You To Heaven'. Here is the link again. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0IE3IytrphQ That's one of their many songs that never got released because of record label problems. I can't believe that concert will be 10 years old next month.
Just for asking here is the Goolie get-together from the The Groovie Goolies. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cChhm346X7M

This calls for a Toadies party!!! Now I have an excuse to re-learn there songs (I only remember how to play five or six) and actually give Heaven Below Stars Above a fair listen. Jigsaw Girl, by the way, really snuck up on me. I think I'll write that action into my new novel. Why wouldn't I?
YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We're going to need a large stereo system, a stage, togas, 1,000 cases of Flying Dog Ale, copies of Bluefinger, and bring your television sets for the tv smashing competition.

I know it's far from Dallas but the only place for them to go is north after those shows.
