Why isn't "She Took All the Money" on the current FB.net Poll for favorite Bluefinger track? I hate to think it gets lumped in with "others". It's such a great song... by far my favorite and one that I'll go back to again and again. When I first heard it, it reminded me why I admire FB so much! Anyone else think it's the best on Bluefinger? |

I feel the same way about Lolita. I guess you have to make the cut some where. |

Sorry, only allowed seven options, tried to take a well rounded cross-section but I see some choices were just plain off base. Was wondering about the 'others' that are getting voted for. Thanks!

She Took All The Money is one of those songs that suddenly hit you. At first I thought it was the weakest track after You Can't Break A Heart And Have It but I love it now - especially that little descending bit just before the chorus. I also like YCBAHAHI a lot more now also; it might be a bit conventional musically but it's probably the most excitingly brutal performance after Captain Pasty. |

I love Violet's vocals on this STATM. They really make the song.

I voted 'other'. Bluefinger would get my vote. I don't know if it's the excitement of the new album but it could become my favourite ever Charles Thompson song, after All My Ghosts of course.

It kind of seems like my opinion on Bluefinger is the opposite of everyone else's. While it looks like the tracks near the beginning of the album are the ones that are getting the most attention, both from critics and fans on this forum, I don't think the album really hits its stride until "Angels Come To Comfort You." And yes, "She Took All The Money" was my immediate favorite. I guess I just prefer melodic Frank to screaming Frank (although I do think the screaming on "You Can't Break A Heart And Have It" is pretty cool).

I'm with you, VoVat. I'm a mellow-Frank kind of fan, for the most part. Angels and the title track are by far my faves.
But I do like when he rocks, and I can really appreciate songs like Threshold and Captain Pasty.
Please pardon me, for these my wrongs. |

for some reason, opinions on the title track seem really polarised.

As much as I love Threshold, I voted for Angels. The outro just really gets me. And yeah, love Money too..and, actually, Lolita probably is actually the best song! I'm so confused! Hard to pick from such a great album!

Bluefinger - And now as tears subside I find it all so amusing. Thompson does Sinatra via Brood. Bloody marvellous.

I initially didn't like this song at all. I love the harmonica part. (It's Frank, right?)

I am pretty sure it is Black Francis. I do love that harmonica part, too. He rocks the harmonica.

The album's credits say it's Frank on the harmonica.
