Yeah I prefer the album version. It just doesn't sound right on 93-03, too 'chopped up'.

Agreed - this could also because we heard the BF version long before the 93-03 (well, some of us did at least), so the edit sounds awkward.

What about "93-03" vs "BF Leaked" vs "BF Final"

There have been a couple bands that have leaked stuff "in progress" and every time, I've always gotten used to and preferred the "in progress" version. I remember one where there was some drum noise and studio banter on the leaked version and I liked the rough feel of it. When the album came out and it was all cleaned up and glossy, I didn't like the final version as much.

I love how the bass is cranked on the leaked version. On the final of Bluefinger, it seems like the vocals are more emphasized than the leaked version. I'll have to listen to the final more to decide...

The sanitised single version is missing the drum-roll splat ending. Why would anyone remove it? (I'm guessing that FB didn't do it).

I haven't even heard the final Blue Finger version (I keep telling myself I'll buy it soon). I love the leaked version as it is. Are the differences quite easily noticeable?

I've listened as closely as my old ears can listen, and the difference between the leaked version and the released version is very subtle. If anything, the sound on the leaked version is ever-so-slightly more robust. But it's not significant.

Buy the real one because it's the right thing to do, Stu (cuz Frank deserves your euros), but don't expect it to be different from what you've already heard.

Please pardon me, for these my wrongs.

there's much more difference between the album and edit versions than the leaked and album versions.
when i popped the cd in my stereo i was actually expecting it to sound more like the edit version, but it doesn't sound much different at all to the leaked version which is fine cause that sounds damn good.

all i can say, thank god for polio! brian

I keep meaning to but I'm a bit skint at the moment. I can't afford luxuries like paying for things (especially with euros since we don't use those here).

Honestly, I will buy it, the obsessive side of me already wants 93-03, even though I've already bought the bonus tracks online. I can't imagine my CD rack being without Blue Finger for much longer.

Oh yeah. Duh. I forgot you're still on the barter system.
You mow Frank's lawn or wash his car, and he gives you Bluefinger.

So why didn't England go to euros, anyhow? Just to be contrary?

Please pardon me, for these my wrongs.

That sums it up! They are proud of their own things.
But let the english kids speak for themselves.

To ruin the entire plot of the film 'Millions'.

It's not much different. Just little things. If you don't have the leaked version memorized and didn't listen to it on headphones a lot, you probably won't tell much difference. It sounds a bit more slick, and to me the vocals sit a bit higher in the final. It seems like there may have been some added bg vocals in the final as well.

I do think the leaked version sounds "louder" - which can be a bad thing really. Means it's probably over compressed for mastering.

I'm actually liking the final version better the more I hear it.

Wow...I'm pretty bad at this game. I didn't notice any differences between the best of and BlueFinger.
