I had nothing to say, and then I remembered I am getting old.
And I get to mention one of my favourite things, oh where can I find it now, Prisoners Of Gravity. Watch it and you will want to write comic books, I swear, but it's also probably the best collection of interviews about writing in existence. Is it downloadable?
Rick Green (aka "adventures with" Bill) interviews science fiction authors (like Harlon Ellison) and artists about their art and methods. Here is a YouTube sample including Ellison. I remember Ellison's advice to young authors in one episode was, "don't do it." And I think it was Ray Bradbury who said something like you have to be full-time, write on the bus, write at lunch.
Here is another example that shows, to me, creativity transforming the mundane.
There was a course I took that would make all the difference in the world, do that, get information! There is some common, technical knowledge and methods hiding in plain view that you just have to know.
By example is the study of an author's use of words, types of words, grouped, and groups of words...there are mechanisms that can give you insight into an author's purpose, or method (and can be used).

I'm actually wrapping up the revision process on my new novel (500+ pages). Should be ready by the end of the month. I can give a lot of tips and advice but you gotta e-mail me, man.
The one thing I'll tell you now is that when you say "I wanna start writing books," you shouldn't end the statement with a question mark. I mean, it takes a lot of time, patience, and discipline. You know? You can't just want to start writing books, it has to be an innate compulsion. All or nothing. For instance, if I didn't write books or commit myself to some sort of intense, laborious project, I'd probably go insane.
Ahem. Don't mean to scare you off here, but if you're really interested, send me an e-mail with questions and thoughts, and I'll be more than happy to pass on whatever I can.

Funnily enough I thought of (what I consider) a great idea for a comic whilst on the toilet the other day. I have a PDF on how to draw manga, so I want to give it a go.
I'd walk her everyday, into a shady place
