well, this thread isn't neccesarily "twee", but about twee, the music style i mean.
i feel like twee, or indie pop, or whatever you call it, doesn't get as much respect as it deserves.  there are some very good twee bands like camera obscura, architecture in helsinki, i'm from barcelona, the bicycles, and i consider belle and sebastian twee, no matter what they say.
in conclusion, twee pop is a bazillion times better than new rave.

Belle and Sebastian are twee, as they are virtually impossible to dance around to, but stick architecture in helsinki on, and only the coldest of hearts can't shake their arses to that wonderful music.

I said virtually impossible, the majority of B&S songs are pretty boring, yes there are the odd exception, but most are dull. Unlike Architecture in Helsinki who are exciting and fun.
I do hope you are not a die hard Belle and Sebastian fan, as they are pretty well known for not taking any criticism of their beloved band in any kind of sensible way.
If you are, then yeah whatever, Belle and Sebastian are great, I don't care that much.

Just because some divvy on last fm has tagged them as "twee" it doesn't mean they are. Maybe I am hearing it differently to you, but architecture in Helsinki just don't sound twee, it isn't exactly the kind of music which conjures up images of people wearing jumpers sat around singing about lost love.

A clever tactic mr dough head, not unlike the the Nazi's dealings with Soviet Russia circa 1939 "lets agree to disagree..." then a short period later *BANG* you attack. As deplorable as the Nazis were, it is hard not to respect such underhand tactics 
I can only go on the definition of twee that my friends and I use, namely slightly boring music, made by boring people, who wear jumpers and drink red wine. Which really is what belle and sebastain are about. (I do own a couple of albums by them, and like a couple of songs on each).
When I listen to Helsinki they just sound nothing like the above description. I am a slightly awkward studenty muso, but when I listen to Architecture in Helsinki I just want to dance around like a 5 year old.
