| This probably isn't worth starting a new topic on, but it will hopefully at least stir a short-lived FB muso chin-rubbing debate: the other day, it kind of just popped into my head that the "ooh-ooh-ooh-ohh" bits in Threshold really remind me of the Motorway To Roswell. Anyone like to shoot this crap theory down?! |

| It's not as crap as you might think, Charlos. The chord sequence during the "ooh-oohs" is exactly the same as Motorways verses, just different chords. |

Yes ! It's the motorway to rosewell chord sequence with a rythm more like gouge away...
I bet that part of the song actualy became motorway, as Treshold was an unfinished song from the pixies era. |

I allways remember Gil Norton in 91 saying "motorway to rosewell" was how he imagined the pixies in the future, how their next album could sound...
So he was right in a way. It was for the next Black Francis album. |
