(can't edit my post!)

I mean, I think it still needs to be confirmed.

I hope that's not it. To make this album without a Herman Brood painting on the cover -- or at least something that says Brood, in one way or another -- makes absolutely no sense at all.

Please pardon me, for these my wrongs.

I thought it was going to have something to do with painting, if not one of Brood's works, one of Frank's kids paintings?

I'm with Frank on his reluctance (as stated in a post of his in the King Holds Court thread last week) to use a Brood painting on the front cover. A concept record doesn't have to announce the concept on the sleeve. Sometimes it's better that it doesn't, in my opinion.

Still, I wouldn't assume yet that the image at that link is the cover.

There's no cover there, Carlos. Just a press kit and a promo disc.

The simple portrait doesn't give off the spirit of the record. A Brood painting definitely would. Brood's work is fun so that whole 'pretentious concept' thing would never come up. The simple portrait feels too 'concept' like something Dave Gilmour would do. It would be better haging off a wall IMO. I really hope that isn't the cover.

Hopefully because they're still haggling over the rights to the yellow painting with the blue plane :)

The yellow painting with the blue plane is what pops up as album art in iTunes so someone, somewhere has conceived of it as cover art at some point, thankfully. Just hope it stays.

He's what, 10? That's fantastic, regardless of his age. This is definitely one of the better solo FB covers -- as if some effort and thought finally went into one.

Could have been a terrible idea, turns out to be a coup, much like the album itself. Midas touch. I'm loving where Frank's at right now. Nice work Julian.

Love the cover. I like that 'BLACK' is in black and 'BLUE' is in blue. I know it's obvious, but I like it.

this reminds me of a Herman Brood painting quite a bit!

Modern art try to copy kids, it's well known.
But the very large black crack on the heart is really a kid trademark.
No artist would use the black that way, it would be "a lack of taste".
Sometimes kids just put black everywhere after they've done a colorfull painting, and they dont feel they messed up.
