I got a Frank tattoo yesterday...it's the image on the inside cover of the "Honeycomb" album where Frank looks as though he is handing the viewer a drink from his car. It stretches across my whole back, and it cost a pretty penny. I would post pictures but it's kind of a swollen mess right now. Maybe once it heals a little bit, who knows?
Anyone else here have any tattoos of musicians they love?

Thanks for the warm welcome. I have been a long-time FB listener for some time now, and Pixies before that, but for whatever reason I never thought to look online for a community such as this one.
Fortunately, I was able to find a very gifted "portrait" tattoo artist (think of Kat Von D from "Miami Ink") who could do the image justice...I can't wait to show it off! Some of you might think getting a tattoo of Frank is borderline psychotic, but his music has just been a part of my life for so long now I don't think it will ever not be. For that reason I myself think it makes perfect sense. The image from the Honeycomb jacket just seemed to capture the spirit behind the music...perhaps a little bit sad, too, as this album came from a rocky time in Frank's life.

Damn...that is awesome. Must have taken quite a while. Welcome to the forum. Not only do you have the largest frank tatoo, but probably one of the longest usernames as well.

When did I say that? Was it while you were winning the lottery and marrying cameron diaz?

That was just a quote. I can make coffee, actually. Anytime I want to. In fact, I have a really nice single/double cup brewer that I received last Christmass.

I wish I'd gone with the Pixies back when I was a kid and trying to decide on a tattoo. It was a toss up between them and Kajagoogoo. I went with the one that I thought would have the most longevity.
I feel your pain with the tat. My ass cheeks were swollen and scabby for a couple weeks. |

i've decided to get a frank-related tattoo to add to my collection. i'll post a picture, prolly won't be the slurpee-cup pictcha! and i'm in the middle of "corporate-sleeving" my left arm so it might take a while before i get to it...

My girlfriend got the Pixies 'P' logo (like the 'P' on the cover of Trompe) recently on her arm.
She also changed her name by deed poll to Pixie.

might happen sooner than later. booking a trip to vegas tuesday to friday. $192 flight hotel taxes all in....if one of them tattoo shops will take a credit card, i could have this tattoo pretty quickly.
now that i think about it it would be fitting to put it on my belly! i think i'll go black and white though, hold the pumpkin. or maybe not.....i haven't decided yet. ;)

i didn't go, deal wasn't available when i tried to book, but i might go june 22-25....getting stoked. i think i'm gonna get the linework drawing from FM/RM. maybe use the profile and do like an anatomical head and shoulders black/white with a red heart and veins.
