It's July 1. Who's got their copies of "A Thousand Splendid Suns"? I'm picking up mine today. I requested it at the library, but started out at about #650 on the waiting list, and I haven't moved up much in a couple weeks, so I'm just going to buy it at Barnes & Noble. We'll start discussing the book in about three weeks. I know kfs and awestruck are on board. Or at least they were at one point. And Kathryn is definitely not reading this one. This much is for sure. So who's in?
Please pardon me, for these my wrongs. |

The humble apple
it means don't marry/sleep with your father's wife. did you read the verse before that? "if a man rapes a virgin and they are discovered the man shall pay the young woman's father 50 shekels of silver and must marry her because he has humbled her; he shall not be permitted to divorce her all his days." - discuss.
to clarify: floop's mom and lbf's mom are still up for grabs except by floop and lbf respectively.
The waxworks were an immensely eloquent dissertation on the wonderful ordinariness of mankind. |

I don't have my copy yet, but I am going to go and buy one tomorrow. I will have to read a little at a time between my readings for my Stein and Hemingway class. I think I will be able to handle it. ;)
It's not you I don't like
