Doesn't sound like a bad place to have your ashes lost.
What was the deal with this mission? Was the purpose just to send the ashes into space, only to have them come back down? Or was the purpose to create a piece of space junk that would orbit for x number of years before burning up upon re-entry? Were they trying to reach escape velocity but failed? I... don't... understand!
Yeah, I couldn't understand that article. It sounds like the launch went well, but the payload wasn't ejected or tracked like it suppose to. I don't know why anyone would want their ashes to go into space and then parachute back to Earth. I gotta believe it was suppose to be a one way trip (or burning up the atmosphere).
