actually Los Feliz.
crazy fire going on here. there's are several hillsides completely up in flames in Griffith Park. it's weird to be watching the news and seeing the same exact thing from my window at the same time
i guess so far people haven't been threatened but i feel bad for the wildlife in there. since Griffith Park is one of the only places for wild animals to live around here
Do you think Bluefinger was intended to be a Pixies album? |

I ride my bike up there a few times a week. I've seen rabbits, skunks, deer and lots of coyotes. I was just up there last night, right where the fire is on the road that runs high up on the east side of the park and comes out at the top of Commonwealth. I love that stretch of road.
I got a fairly good view of the fire on my way home -- looked like it was fairly contained on the east side of the park. I hope they've got it under control.

I was listening to a program the other day where they suggested that 100 years of very good fire fighting has made a dangerous situation.
I think what they were trying to say was "people suck".
Is there any speculation about terrorists yet? |

| Hope there hasn't been any casualties. What with hurricanes, quakes and brushfires, the US gets hit pretty hard by the elements. |

This fire has made it into the evening news here yesterday. It looked quite spectacular, but is it really this serious?
They said the fire is suspected to be man made (arson?). |
