Has anyone listened to Elliott Smith's New Moon album. It comes out on May 8th but, since I ordered it from Kill Rock Stars they sent it early. I think it is good but, I'm such a sucker for Elliott Smith.

I love Elliott Smith and had no idea about this so getting it today - it's early unreleased stuff isn't it? I was genuinely upset when he died. 'From a Basement on the Hill' was a pretty good epitaph but would have been very different if he'd got to finish it himself.

Jeff Buckley is the fucking king of posthumous prolific career. The guitarist from Monster Magnet had a funny article on his website about his favourite song of his being "Have My Silk Shirts Arrived Yet?" from The Jeff Buckley Answering Machine Tapes Vol 2.

just got it yesterday, and i fell asleep to it last night. not that that's a bad thing, it's a beautiful album. it's nice to hear a good recording, a lot of those other unreleased songs are barely audible. elliott is my hero.

I thought this guy died like ten years ago. Who's the guy with a similar name that died?
