Any CSI fans out there? I love the show and I watched the darn thing I don't know how many times and I cannot find that stupid doll that the Miniature Killer always uses. I've about decided it just is not there and it is all a conspiracy to get viewers like me to stupidly watch it over and over trying to find it. Anybody out there see the doll?

Once watched CSI Miami because I was alone in a hotel room and couldn't find anything else to watch. I was surprised how bad it was. You aren't given any of the clues for you to try to figure it out, so it's not a mystery. The characters are one dimensional, so it's not a police drama (like Hill Street Blues or Homicide). And didn't have any action. So, frankly I have no idea why people watch CSI. |

All the other CSI's suck IMO besides Las Vegas (the original). If Miami is all you've seen, it's terrible. I don't even know why any of the other CSI's are still on the air.
People like Las Vegas because it's a tidy slick package of light entertainment that is wrapped up at the end. Self contained candy that doesn't require much investment. It's not a serial, so you can just watch if you want and not feel like you missed anything. Even with the ongoing plotlines like the miniature killer, they usually do a little "catchup" intro to fill you in in case you missed one.
Does that help? Sometimes you just want to watch a show to be entertained for a bit, you know?

I watch plenty of eye candy (more so in my youth), but the little I've seen of CSI isn't even as good as the various Law & Orders, Numbers, and whatever that Mandy Pantkin crime show is called.
All I basically watch these days besides sports is NBC Thursday night (minus ER), Lost, and 24. I've got a bunch of The Riches taped but have only watched one. |

I watch CSI Las Vegas and I agree it is the best of the three. I never have got into Law and Orders, but I watch numbers, and Criminal Minds is a great show. I just thought someone who watches the show would have seen the doll, is all.

You don't like Caruso? What's wrong with you?
I always assumed CSI was a study in the attention span of the average TV-watching American - in this country, for example, you get A Touch Of Frost where he'll solve maybe one murder in a four-hour edition. In CSI, Horatio will solve at least four, plus get his jollies with a sidekick, in a one hour show.

Yah, I don't know about the doll either, or why he was building a miniature set at the end of the last episode. The miniature thing kind of revived the series though, so I hope it goes somewhere good.
And hey, I was just explaining why people watch it. I don't think anyone claims it to be a masterpiece of a show or anything, just something else to watch. I don't pine for the next episode or anything.
Now Grey's Anatomy, I'd like an explanation why people watch that pile of crap. And why the hell is ER even still on the air?

I liked Caruso in Hudson Hawk. He didn't have any lines ;)

I think Gil is just trying to get into the killers mind. I like him b/c he is so weird and I like weird. It just bothers me that I can't find that damn doll. you know like when you know something and it is just right there on the tip of your tongue, but you can't remember it.
As for Caruso... I watch CSI Miami, but he gets on my nerves. Its his mannerisms and how he moves his neck and talks.
Are they still making new ERs? I thought they were all reruns. I really don't watch much else other than CSI, Numbers, Criminal Minds.

That was great! Carrey is best. He captured exactly what I was saying.
