Apologies in advance if this is going to be a dup thread, but I don't feel like rummaging around with the search feature trying to find out right now, state that I'm in.
For all you guitar-slingers. Which F.B. riff do you find yourself coming back to most often? For me, I'd say with certainty it would have to be that riff at the beginning of 'Fazer Eyes'. Literally every time I tune my guitar, I play a C scale, a blues scale, maybe another scale or so, and then the intro riff from Fazer Eyes before playing anything else. Even when I'm plugged in and warming up for a show, it's just automatic. I must say that I also very much dig that neat little riff in blast off. There are heaps others that I utterly dig but I will wait and see if anyone responds before further elaborating. I sure hope someone gets to tabbing the new B.F. soon because if they don't then I am gonna start doing it by ear.

For me it's Two Spaces, hands down. Close second goes to 85 Weeks.

If we can include the Pixies, I go for Brick is red. I always got a smile on my face playing this.

Not really a riff, but I love cranking the distortion and playing Thalasocracy. |

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of 'Fazer Eyes', until I played the riff, and then it became one of my fave songs on the album.

Out of many choices, I'll go with '10 Percenter'.

Of course, Ziggy! I remember "Fazer Eyes" being one of the first songs I learned on guitar. I'd play it for hours on end when I was in high school.

When i sit on the loo it's 'Kicked in the Taco'. Though nearly officially voted weakest song on Cult, it brings me much joy.
But the song at the moment I can't help but play, again on the loo, is Palace of the Brine. |

I can't play the guitar, the only thing I can do is bar chords, and the only 2 songs I know by Frank are the intro to Los Angeles and Humboldt County Massacre. So, these 2.

Do you like distortion when you bar chord, Denis?
Please pardon me, for these my wrongs. |

Oh. Well, do you like ... *looks up at other songs in the thread* ... to use tight black rubbers?
Please pardon me, for these my wrongs. |

I can remember trying to figure out how to play it, head scratch city. Then with a slip off the low E and a slide up two frets I had the Eureka! moment. |

I like to play "Old Black Dawning". Pretty neat riff. "I Will Run After You" is great, too. "Western Star" is cool, but the changes in the chorus always mess me up.

As for Pixies, "Holiday Song" and "Blown Away" have my favorite riffs. And I love the "Peter Gunn Theme" style of "Subbacultcha".

I spent a fair bit of time trying to figure the solo and other neat little quirks from Superabound but still don't completely have it down. Absolutely love the solo and other clever fills in superabound, though. |

Anyone mentioned Dog In the Sand yet? Both riffs in there are really dreamy/pretty. Sounds wonderful when I play it on my 12-string |

I like to turn the right speaker down, play along to All My Ghosts and pretend I'm Lyle Workman. Every day. By then I can't resist playing along to Back To Rome too!

I can probably play at least 2 hrs of FB/Pixies material. Once or more a week I get a bottle of whiskey and play/sing FB, gradually getting louder and more drunk as the set progresses, much to the chagrin of the chick who lives in the apartment across from mine, but I don't stop until the bottle is empty or I pass out. I've had a pretty shit day today so tonight may be one of those nights. |

Hey HeroJuan, I can't play 2 hrs of FB/ Pixies material..mmmh...perhaps 45 min. I would like to hear you play after the bottle of whiskey's empty ;-). Have a good night and cheers..
Now I'm mostly playing Sylkie Bride. Even if I would like to have someone playing the piano.

I play Llano Del Rio over and over for 45 minutes, making up my own lyrics because I can't remember the real ones.
For some reason I've never bothered learning much FB solo stuff, I just listen to it. My old band did Headache, Abstract Plain, and Hey. I can play about half of Pixies songs, but I never feel much urge to play FB songs. Weird.
Yeah, of course Caribou intro to check your tuning. But the original poster said FB songs, not Pixies.
