Alright, first time poster on this forum. I'm Stian, 27 years old, Norwegian, long time Black & Pixies fan and this summer I'm doing a smaller Black tour across the Netherlands. Why I'm on here now, well the topic says it all doesn't it
Oh, I videotape shows.... Nuthin' like seeing a show u've attenden is there... Please let me know if he's cool with Video cuz' then I'll bring my cam and record the five shows.

| I read somewhere that he's okay with taping as long as it's not intrusive. I'm sure it's somewhere on this board. Sorry if it appeared that I was "giving permission" as that clearly was not my intention. |

hehe, I'll make it perfectly clear to security that Rodney said so ;) I'll give it a shot the first few nights I think, see what happens. Oh, one more thing, is it Frank alone or with a band... PLEASE say with band..

rodney's right: Frank's outlook is basically, "fend for yourself," which means if you can get something in the club it won't bug him. Just keep it discreet - a pocket recorder or some such unintrusive tool. If you're doing video, make damn sure you're not putting light in the face of anyone onstage.
He's cool with you taping, but don't try getting his people involved with it - the crew works for the performer, not you.

Last time I saw Frank, he berated a videotaper -- but only because the guy, who was in the second row, had an obnoxious light on the front that was distracting Frank. He asked the taper to cover the light, but said he didn't care what the guy did with his tape. His words: "I have no control." (Interpret that how you wish.)

| Never use light with my cam so it won't be buggin the guy I hope... I even use black tape over the small red light on the front of the cam, and a black stocking over the lcd screen so not to piss of anyone in the crowd either... I'm not worried anymore. Thanks for the info. |
