I heard that the Pixies were flying back from Australia to Los Angeles and the plane's radio stopped working, so they turned around, but their private plane got a thousand miles off course and split in two mid-air and crashed on an island. Frank, Joey and his son, and a handful of roadies were on one side of the island, while Kim and Dave landed on the other side with a number of other roadies. And a dog. They did their best to survive on either side of the island. Dave, who was packing heat, shot a polar bear to death. Kim had no desire to leave the island, due to her fugitive past, but she was along for the ride anyway, so she tried her best to make things work out. Joey built a raft and left the island with his son, only to get attacked by "The Others" on the open sea, and had his son kidnapped from him. Meanwhile, Frank found a hatch on the island, and tried his best to open it, but it wasn't until a man with massive hair led him to a ship full of dynamite that he was able to blow the hatch open. Inside he found a recording studio built in the 1970's, operated by Tom Waits. Why he was there, no one knows, no one cares, and no one questions, because it was Tom Waits. The remaining members of the Pixies found their way to the hatch and decided, since there was no hope for rescue, to start recording album after album with their new producer Mr. Waits, and their massive-haired friend, who happened to be Eric Drew Feldmen. I don't know what happens after that, cause I've only just started watching the second season.

I'm sure the album's release will coincide with the release of the third season on DVD. Them marketing folks is clever like that.

I'm going to expand on the off-topicness and quote from a theory that has been floating around on the Pinback list - namely, that one of the writers on "Lost" might be a Pinback fan. The names of at least three of the characters - Hurley, Rousseau and Penelope - are also Pinback song titles. Chew on that.
If I knew a TV writer I'd dare him to work Frank references into the scripts... ;-)

Dude, I don't think that dude's imaginary. And why doesn't Vincent get a flashback? What a gyp. I am so done with this show.

Actually, Nick Vincent and EDF are producing in the nice bunker with all the fancy equipment. Tom Waits is producing other albums in the other bunker with nothing but the Bible and the glass eye. And maybe a wire recorder. That's all he needs. (Sorry, folks. I've only seen up through the first seven episodes of the second season.)

I heard a rumour that they're recording an album as Frank Francis and Pixies MK2. I can't remember where I read this, maybe I didn't, IMO LOL ROLF etc. |

If you haven’t seen all of season 2 don’t read this comment :
~~##What I meant was: that’s a photo-shopped image of Hurley and Dave. Dave was imaginary.##~~
