I have recently learned from a member of the Catholics who wishes to remain nameless that The Sicilian will be released on Spinart records in the summer of 2007. The album features the songs already recorded plus a recently recorded cover of "The Joker" by the Steve Miller Band.

This is just too much. First the EDF project, then Bluefinger, then Grand Duchy and now this? What the heck is going on?

I don't have any physical proof of this information. If I had the album right now I'd be listening to it instead of replying to these insinuations that my information which just happened to be on April Fool's Day was discovered to be false in the same amount of time it takes a hot pocket to spray cheese all over my fucking microwave.

Sounds like there's something fishy going on here.

I don't buy it. The Sicilian was a working title of a record when the Catholics were already split up.

It was the working title for Honeycomb, reffering to "Sicilienne" by Gabriel Fauré, the classical music piece FB used for "The End Of The Summer".

Everyone is trying to erase from their memory the abomination called "The End Of The Summer". Thanks for bringing it back, remig. Thanks a lot.

Denis, you might need this to forget The End Of The Summer:

What's wrong with End of the Summer? It wasn't the best thing on FMRM, but it wasn't that bad, imo.

I love FMRM but The End Of Summer is my least like song. Could be my least like song from the whole Memphis Sessions actually.

Well, some people think getting hit repeatedly on the head with a hammer isn't that bad either, so I respect your opinion. I even think it might feel better than hearing The End Of The Summer once more.

I think End of the Summer is ok, have you heard You Can't Crucify Yourself? Now that's something I would like eliminate from my cd.

I'd take End of the Summer over Dirty Old Town or Wanderlust anyday. But then I dont understand why people are down on Hermaphroditos! Just emphasises the wide variety of styles in Frank's music and different tastes amongst his fans. Still love his policy of thowing out as many songs as possible as fast as he can.

What? Wanderlust is one of the few great songs on disc 1 of FMRM. Ever tried to play it on the guitar? It's a lot of fun (for people like me who can't play anyway).
Dirty Old Town is one of my guilty pleasures so I won't discuss it. And I love Hermaphroditos, esp. live.

I really like 'The End Of The Summer' although when each verse starts I always think it's going to turn into 'House Of The Rising Sun'.

Dirty Old Town is the only song I skip on FM/RM. I grew up with the Pogues so I just cant help but compare it. Much prefer FM/RM Disc 2 so if there's another slice of that in the vault that would be great. But at the moment I've only got ears for Blue Finger.
