KOK why don't you take the test. Let's see how close you're to your master (Dr. Paul). |

Please pardon me, for these my wrongs. |

His non-interventionist beliefs, his strict adherence to the constitution, his desire to maintain American sovereignty his belief that the states should be handling these social issues such as gay marriage, legalized marijuana, abortion etc. The Federal government should not be dictating what the states do.
I'm a bit apprehensive about some of his economic policies and how they would affect social programs (welfare, etc) but even then, his plans are gradual. Plus bring back the gold standard or whatever his plan is just get rid of the PRIVATE central bank we are all enslaved to.
Right now our country is in deep financial trouble. If we have to buckle up for a while to straighten things out then fine. 4 to 8 years of dealing with a guy whose economic policies I do not fully agree with will be better than the first year with these war mongers.

Getting rid of income taxes and thus starving all social programs isn't gradual. It would be an experiment in Social Darwinism. Screw the poor.
I don't know what his thoughts are about corporations. Does he believe in strong government regulations and monitoring of companies? A strong FDA, SEC, and EPA to protect US citizens from the drive for companies to maximize profits while ignoring their effects on people (i.e. lead toys, pollution, predatory pricing and monopolies). |

Darwin... That is conventional wisdom. How about if we stop policing the world at the same time?
Here's Ron's site. Don't be afraid. http://www.ronpaul2008.com/

I don't support Hillary Clinton. I'm telling you that this thing is so controlled Hillary is already chosen. You clowns are wasting your energy pretending any of your opinions are going to make a difference. She will win. Therefore I will have a new skateboard. It's a done deal.

Hey, don't let the facts (once again) get in the way. I'm in that corner with you and so is Steve (most of us are). But unlike you we aren't preaching a political point-of-view (libertarism) that doesn't match our political compass score. |

Good for you. You're so eager to be contrarian that you can't recognize which politicians agree the most with you. Very impressive. |

Sometimes you have to break free of your useless ideology in order to get the required job done. The country/world is in trouble you're going to vote for more of the same, while I'm voting for change.

sorry, i guess i was mistaken. to be honest i don't usually read your posts (at least the ones with paragraphs of copied and pasted text)..
i'd be interested in reading your own actual opinion on things if you ever posted it, but most of the time you just lazily copy and paste links and articles |

That's not true. IU make statement people say that's fucking crazy and I come up with a multitude of articles and links to support my statement then people criticize me for backing up my crazy statements. "I'm not reading all of that" "I'm not trusting Youtube." "Boob tube for me brother"

Not so far left as I'd been, No less concerned, though. Maybe less sense of responsibility to others?

I answered as honestly as I could. I was afraid I was going to end up being the first person to score a positive # - and then I'd be made to walk the plank.

Some American politicians ship the drugs into America to fund covert operations (such as Iran Contra) and then the drugs shipped in, turn poor black neighborhoods into hell holes. Then those same politicians go on television and declare a "war on drugs".
Ask any black person how they felt about the "war on drugs" in the late eighties and they will tell you that if you turned on your television at that time it would appear to really be a war on black people. Then I thought about it. Turn on the tv every night in the late 80's and all you saw was some black guy being arrested for this or that. I have friends that said that they couldn't even sit on a bus or subway without being treated as a criminal. Women clutching their purses in horror, etc.. And this guy that told me that story was a retired military/ current California Highway Patrol officer at the time.

Forum members (because of who and what music scene we are into) will generally be left and libertarian. And we are all relatively intelligent and well read (except for KOK).

As other people have said, I'm not a big fan of Hillary (too Republican Lite for my taste), but I don't think she'd be terrible, and I'd vote for her over any of the current Republican contenders. I appreciate Ron Paul for his candor and willingness to challenge the other Republicans' ridiculous jingoism, but I also disagree with him on a lot of issues.
