Red wine - man, that is so refined. Wine is nice, but I am definitely a beer man. The two free drink tickets when I checked into my hotel tonight didn't help.

It's a tossup for me between beer and wine. Beer is the better solo drink, since I can't possibly drink a whole bottle of wine alone (and wine sucks when you cork what's left and drink it the next night). But often my wife and I will split a bottle, which I really enjoy. She's an outstanding cook, and is very knowledgeable about matching wines to meals. (But she's gone this week, and tonight I'm getting drunk alone on a cheap bottle of red that didn't come close to matching the crap I picked up for dinner.)

a stoudt
a shot of tequila
a margaretta
then ice cream
kinda the perfect midweek buzz though |
