I was recently in Portugual and saw a gig of a portuguese band on TV... I thought they sounded really interesting so I stayed on the channel... and then they started covering Debaser ;-))) (mixed with one of their songs, "Just what I need" or something like that)... and it really rocked!
Unfortunately I didn't get the guy's name, and I tried Google but no luck.
Any ideas? He sings only in English, and one of his other songs is called "the 80s" I think.
Yup, it's David Fonseca. He's a pretty big Pixies fan. Before he went solo with "Sing me something new", he released a couple of albums with a band called Silence 4. It's not exactly mind blowing, but if you liked what you've heard of David Fonseca, you'll probably like Silence 4.
