Hey everybody,
I see a lot of posts about folks who haven't been able to get the 2 Catholics albums availble only on i-tunes. I know some people don't feel comfortable about giving out credit card info on the net, so I just wanted to let everyone know, that there's another way to buy these download only albums without a credit card.

I-tunes sells pre-paid download cards, that come in increments of 15, 25, 50 and 100 dollars. For starters, you need to have i-tunes installed on your computer. After you do this, open i-tunes and go to the i-tunes store. Click on "Redeem" on the front page. It will take you to a page which will ask you to enter the download card number (scratch off the back of the card for the number). After you do that, it will ask you to fill in some simple info (name, address, etc...).

After you do that, the amount on the card will be credited to your account. Then search for the music you want. You can purchase by song or by album. When you click "buy" on whatever you're purchasing it, it will start downloading to your computer, and will be put in your i-tunes playlist. Then select the songs you want to burn to a disc, and create a playlist (you HAVE to use i-tunes to burn these files, because they are an i-tunes only format). I could go into greater detail, but the steps are pretty easy, and the program even walks you through the steps a little bit.

The sound quality is pretty damn good, too. In addition to "Snake Oil" and "One More Road For the Hit", i-tunes also has "Oddballs" (although it's the 10 song version, not the 14 song version). So, it's a (relatively) easy program to use, the price isn't too bad, and it's probably the only chance to own these albums, unless SpinArt or Cooking Vinyl decides to release them in the future.

Sorry if this has been posted before, but I just wanted to let everyone know about this. It's a relatively painless process, and you get great tunes out of it!!!

Rock On,
Chris.

p.s., my fave album of the 2 would have to be "One More Road For the Hit". I probably like it more than Snake Oil, because some of the songs are from "Sunday Sunny Mill Valley Groove Day" (which is great), and it seems to work better as an album, as opposed to a compilation (which is what these releases truly are). It has a nicer flow. But I love "Snake Oil", too. ;)
