Anyone who loved Tenacious D's first album has to be psyched about this (don't they?)
Track List: 1. Kickapoo 2. Classico 3. Baby 4. Destiny 5. History 6. The Government Totally Sucks 7. Master Exploder 8. The Divide 9. Papagenu (He's My Sassafras) 10. Dude I Totally Miss You 11. Break In City (Strom The Gate) 12. Car Chase City 13. Beelzeboss (The Final Showdown) 14. POD 15. The Metal
Will have the same "charm" as the first album? You have to take into consideration it's an album/OST type thing.

My friends brother saw the movie and said it was good.

When does the movie come out? Is the album a full on band affair? When it's just the two of them is when they sound the best. The full band thing makes'em sound like they are taking the themselves seriously.

I saw a trailer of sorts for it on Google Video or YouTube that was pretty entertaining. It didn't mention the movie but was something to the effect of "The Greatest Song in the World". I'd see the movie, just not necessarily on a full-price night.

Really brilliant. Very funny and great music too. Best sex drugs and rock and roll comedy in years. Some instantly classic music sequences (featuring Meat Loaf, Ronnie Dio and SATAN himself) See it high! I didn't but laughed a lot anyhow (the bigfoot-forest-shrooms scene is an instant-classic) |

Was Satan played by Dave Grohl again as per the 'Tribute' music video?

I don't know if it's Grohl--whoever it is, though, kicks ass on the drums when Satan's doing his one-man-band number at the end. It's really great. |

I picked (heh!) the album up today. It's good, not as god as the first one, maybe, but still very good. "The History Of Tenacious D" is on the album! under the title of "History" (I should have guessed that one) Grohl, Meatloaf, and Dio, are on the album, Liam Lynch too.
"Metal poll? Climb that shit!"
If the movie is as good as the album, i'll be happy

"I’d be very surprised if anyone outside the US gave a Gibson flying V for Tenacious D" WHAT? Obviously Wendy has never been double teamed by the two kings.
The movie will mainly indulge the fans of the music. Which is all it needs to do. Wendy needs to get her toes sucked, and she'll have a hard time finding a boyfriend who sucks toeOHS!
(Count the references and win a prize)
Here's another review: http://www.totalfilm.com/cinema_reviews/films_out_this_week/tenacious_d_in_the_pick_of_destiny
Did anyone else get the album yet? Apart from Baby it's a good follow-up album.

I've loved Jack Black since BOB ROBERTS, however I'm afraid NACHO LIBRE has made me very wary of paying theatrical admission to another Jack Black movie for a while. Besides, Bond was excellent! TENACIOUS D & THE PICK OF DESTINY will have to wait for NetFlix for me. Or for those most probable 'midnight screenings'.

I was excited to see Nacho Libre until I heard it was made by the "genius" behind Napoleon Dynamite. |

Napoleon Dynamite is brilliant. Nacho Libre is OK I guess (well it was for an in-flight movie), but I really don't fancy The Pick of Destiny. I am not sure these two guys were ever really funny.

Darwin, my already high estimation of you has elevated to near-godlike status. NapD was a big hunk of rubbish.
Pick of Destiny was okay, rentable but I wouldn't recommend seeing it in theatres. It did have some funny moments, and was definitely miles more entertaining than NapD, but that's not saying much.

Definitely. Overrated, yes, but funny nonetheless.

Haven't seen it, but if you like horror movie spoofs Young Frankenstein was funny. |

Forgot about this, but I watched it last week. It's pretty crap, but there are definitely some laughs in it.
Anchorman, which JB (and a number of other comedians) is in, was on last night, watched some of it again. I really think it's under-rated. Lot of comedy on TV last night, There's Something About Mary was also on, and Naked Gun 2 and 3 were on Paramount Comedy.
