I've only had a page for a month, and when I started I wasn't that interested- I didn't think I'd use it much.
I'm on all the time. I love the pictures, the pages, I love looking for people I went school with and seeing what they watch on TV.
On the plus side I've found some old friends I haven't seen in a while. On the minus side I'm missing a lot of sleep. |

Since I would rather blow a horse than go to my high school reunion, MySpace is a great way to look up old classmates and see how bad they look now and get a nice feeling of smug satisfaction. Of course, it's also a way to see how some of them are doing better than me and then feel bad about myself, so maybe it isn't so great.
I have a MySpace, but I've never been hooked. I haven't even looked at it in about a week, but i do use it semi-regularly.
My MySpace is deliberately made to conceal my identity to strangers/"old friends" and NOT meet new people. The people on my friends list (all of whom I know and see regularly in the 3-D world) all know it's me, but if you were a classmate I haven't seen since 1993, you wouldn't be able to find me. Other people tell me that they get lots of unsolicited friends list requests from strangers, but I don't. Probably because, going by my MySpace profile, I'm a 58 year old divorced Scientologist heroin addict of undetermined sexual orientation looking for work as a babysitter. I do somehow pull in an income of over $250,000, though. |

I'm getting worse, but I generally use it for music-related stuff. I guess bands search for profiles based on their interests and add you, and I've found a few really great ones, so maybe it's not as creepy as it appears.
Some are comedically bad though...

Same here. I only actually have three of my friends as friends, and no strangers (although technically the bands are all strangers bar one).
I'd walk her everyday, into a shady place

i dunno.. i used to have a myspace but the number of whiney emos on it began to disturb me, as well as the number of people who completely fuck up their pages with shit html code and crap songs and videos.
facebook is much neater, faster, more professional, which lots of nice features. i don't know how myspace has come along since i last used it though.

Actually, it's probably got worse...
But, I guess I use it more for the music side than the social bit - if I were aiming for social then yep, facebook looks a lot smarter.

Seeing as my solitary pal on Facebook at the moment is in New Jersey, that's one heck of a commute if we want to go out somewhere.

It's great for music stuff, I use a personal emo profile for talking to my real life friends to save money on non-urgent texts and phonecalls, but don't reject randoms adding me or anything.

Im hooked on myspace. I use it for the music side of stuff - networking, finding new bands, finidng bands homepages/labels/tour all in one please si very convenient.
But i do also use it for 'social'. In the sense that I have a lot of friedns on myspace who seem to prefer to communicate via myspace messages (cheap skates with no money on their mobiles!).
i do check it pretty much evry day. And redesigning wastes a good hour sometimes, so that can be fun.

I sometimes have problems getting to sleep at night, and myspace is great for stopping mind numbing boredom, as there is always someone on to chat to, or even just browsing profiles is fun (well better than watching the mint or ITV night screen)
It is also good for spying on my little brother
Here is my myspace- if you add me let me know you are from FB.net, and I will be extra friendly

I deleted my account a few months ago. Too much commercialism, and I have too slow of a connection.
