| I was looking to see when some Pixies DVD's were coming out when I realized that this website does not keep records of DVD's, and biographical books. Would it be too much to ask, (not sarcastically), if this information is updated in the "Discopedia". I am looking for all DVD's and books (official and boot) released for Pixies/Frank Black. |

No, not too much to ask. That's a great idea. If you want to compile a list I'll look at what it'll take to add more categories into the DB. Could be a little tricky, though... the db is definitely laid out for albums.

Couldn't we always input the DVDs as albums, right? Just make a new category in the Singles, Albums, Eps section as DVDs, right?

DVDs probably wouldn't be too hard, especially concert DVDs, but documentaries could be more difficult to give info to. Still, I think it's a good idea and worth looking at or tweaking. Maybe even a separate DB for those and books.
I've been keeping an eye on what Amazon is up to because they're working on integrated and individual 'stores' that web managers can integrate. It would hopefully help out us and FB to have a place on this site that people can buy shirts, books, and other FB-related paraphenilia. You can already link to buy albums in the Discopedia, which has been pretty successful by my expectations.
We've helped sell 8 Club Date/Paradise DVDs, 21 Newport DVDs, 4 FMRM, 2 BLD, 1 DITS, 1 FB&Cs, and an I Don't Want To Hurt You EP. Plus quite a few eMusic subscriptions which presumably are being used to download things like One More Road and Snake Oil. Plus they really help keep the site going.
This should be a lot easier than designing a whole interface, backend, etc, etc for the Articles DB, so hopefully I can get this done.

Dave and I have redone the cookies for the site to tie the Discopedia into the forum. Now, you need to have a forum account to leave comments and suggestions. AND you don't have to log in separately to do so. Woohoo!
