...to be posting from an internet cafe after not doing so in an ice age. Alright, maybe that's no big deal. But it feels weird, dammit!! Especially with the door wide open facing a big, busy street in the middle of the city with loads of people milling around. I'm trying to kill time-my bro is joining me in town to go and see The Departed.

And no, this isn't a drunk post, but it may as well be.

Shit, this is one of the worst threads I've ever started (and there are a lot of contenders). Please fogive me!!

I've heard the Departed was pretty good. I tried to convince my friend to go, but no... we had to see an idiotic football movie. And then he goes without me (because I was working on the podcast) and raves to me at how great it was. That bastard!

I hate internet cafes though they are a lifesaver when travelling, nothing beats surfing on your own machine.

Toothpaste feels weirder. Avoid ones with whitening agents. Not that I would know.

My friend saw The Departed last night, and he told me how it ends. I can't believe he did that. I'm still gonna see it though.

You mean you haven't seen the original? Infernal Affairs?

Watch it.

The Departed was great. I haven't seen Infernal Affairs, which it's based on, so there were lots of surprises in it. The cast was excellent. It's been said before, but Mark Wahlberg is a scene-stealer, he's fucking terrific in it. Strong strain of humour in it, too, and not just supplied by Jack!! And Vera Farmiga, the only woman in the main cast, and a newcomer to boot, really held her own. And I know it's beside the point, but she happens to be very attractive! Martin Sheen is doing-no joke-a mature student course in Galway at the moment!!

After the movie, myself and the bro went for a few drinks, but I didn't manage stop off at an internet cafe. *wink*
