Well, I had a couple of beers earlier in the evening..., oh wait, you mean Frank and Rich, don't you

I'll post up ASAP. I should've waited 'til I had it all ready, but I couldn't wait.

Great stuff, Rich. When I saw that first pic, you made me laugh out loud (lol, i think). Looks like you had fun once again, is every night party night in that coffee can of yours? Sure looks like Nashville isn't the place to catch some sleep.

Though I'm ever so grateful, as always, is there any chance of remembering a song or three?

(bravo)

Cool pictures!

This has to be some kind of record. Three FB shows in one day. First the in-store solo accoustic one, then with the fb.band & some guests and later as a guest himself with Rich Gilbert.

You sure had your fix that night...

Wow thanks for the pics and reviews of all of the Nashville shows, CoffeeCan. As usual, you provide us with some of the best posts.

Tell Rich to play his own guitar!

Hey guys, yeah, it was a real treat for the handful of us that knew who Frank was. I brought 3 guys I met at the show.
kfs and misterwoe had too much driving back to the house and couldn't go.

The place was packed. Nobody knew who Frank was. They were all there to see Travis Mann
and Rich Gilbert.

Check out the girls on stage with the band. They love Travis and the boys.

Next time I get a chance to see Frank, I'm going solo!
My buddies, who aren't HUGE fans like I am, slowed me
down. If it weren't for them I'd have been at Robert's Western World right there beside you, CoffeeCan!!!
Glad you had a great time!

OMIACC,
So are you saying you're coming down to Memphis? If so I'll be on the lookout for you (pic in my profile). I ran into you and your son at the Pixies Ryman show a couple years back when y'all got the boot by security from standing in the aisle.
Do you or anybody else know if FB is playing an in-store anywhere in Memphis?
Can't wait...

I know you would've been there with me if you could've.

I thought we had your husband persuaded.

You're right, next time go solo. Then you got no one to consider
but yourself and no one to please but yourself, e.g., do what you
want when you want to.

You know, I tried to get a couple of friends and my brother to go with me, but they couldn't.

But, I really didn't care, I always enjoy going out by myself.

Yeah, Soren, it's like I've said many times before,
"I'd rather be lucky than good."

And, lately I've been stepping into some HUGE piles of luck.

Now, get your ass over here and let's go Honky-Tonkin, HUH!

Thanks Boss, I'll check the other pictures I have and see if I can find some more of that there
CINEMA VERITE (Etymology: cinema verité: the art or technique of filming (as a motion picture)
so as to convey candid realism)

How 'bout Robert's! For all of us members of the "Church of the Honky-Tonks" that place is our
primary glebe, (2 : land belonging or yielding revenue to a parish church or ecclesiastical
benefice) similiar to your assessment of Grimey's being a place of glebe [for music lovers].

Thought I'd give you some shit because your vocabulary is SO MUCH BIGGER than mine.

I’ve got a few more of those I’ll post up this weekend.

have to brag and add that I was here with oldmaninacoffecan. The show (earlier) was great at mercy lounge. Muscle shoals music vets David Hood (bass) and Spooner Oldham (keys) did 6 or seven with him which was very special for me being from muscle shoals and knowing them. you would have expected honeycomb or fm/rm cuts right but no---wave of mutilation, hey, headache, and more.
.....randomly met coffecan and he invited me here after the show. thanks again richard! may i add RICH GILBERT was on FIRE. Hands down amazing guitarist.
........then after meeting charles.....went to jail for dui. talk about highs and lows. heaven and hell....cheers!!!!

Wow dizzy. Glad it was wonderland up until the encounter with that other man, the man with the long arms. Not that you had the option, but that's why I always try to stay at hotels within walking distance. Fortunately or not, Frank hasn't played in my town since '99 so I haven't had to suffer the temptation to run the gauntlet of the law. Be well.

BRYAN, man I feel bad about the dui. which way did you leave from where we parked. did you go back to broadway toward Robert's and headout of town that way? if you did, that's my fault for not giving you the headsup on that route at that time of night/morning. I always turn left from where we park. Shit man, that sucks.

email me, ok. I left a message for Myles but I didn't hear back from him. I'll do whatever I can for you, represent you on it if you want, no charge,...least I can do.

Fuck, I gotta wait before I can post happy thoughts, clear my head.

Hey man, here's a happy thought for you, I got some shitty quality video at Robert's of The Duke of Fender and The Man, the last half of 666 and all of Nadine. The picture is grainy, old school look, and the audio sounds fuckin possessed. No shit, on 666 sounds like the fuckin devil singing. Really weird shit. Anyway, it shows Rich ON FIRE on that Fender of his.

I don't really want to post it to youtube 'cause its such shitty audio. But, I'll be glad to mail you a dvd and I'll include the few things I videoed from Grimey's as well. email me with your mailing address.

I had a blast with you, Myles and Brett at Roberts. I haven't heard from Brett, but I'll probably see him around Guitar Town again soon.

And yeah, what about Rich FUCKIN Gilbert. GUITAR god. Honky-Tonk HERO. But, forever a CATHOLIC...
