I'm having FANTASTIC success with these signed shirts. So far I've raised $500. This is a wonderful thing. If you do an eBay search for "signed Pixies," my auctions should pop up. Also it should be noted that FB donated the proceeds of his two recent Salem shows to the triplets as well, cuz he's just amazing like that. I'll try to get a picture of the girls up soon. Karma points for all!!!! |

Hey Violet, that's great! I put a link on the main site news page to your auctions. The link below lists everything you're selling and will automatically update as you add or finish charity auctions. Just in case you want something to mail out. And that radiator t-shirt is pretty cool, esp. to have it go to charity. Definitely bidding on that:

How about a "Spend The Day With Frank" auction?
If I won, I would want to spend the day with him somewhere really noisy. Like a day at the siren factory or something.
I'm lots better at pointing and nodding than talking. |

I would love to bid on spending the day with FB when he is in Dallas next week. Let me take my kid to the soundcheck so she can meet/see the man who Dad keeps raving about.
Plus, I would make her sing Sad Old World to FB, cuz, until you've heard it sung by a 7 year old girl, you just haven't felt how damn sad it really is... |

I defenately think spending the day/sound check is a great idea. personally, i can't afford it right now but I am sure there are plenty of other fans that can and will. |

Well, you could always enter the contest and come spend an hour or so with him up here...

I would love to, but I am looking for a job right now so pretty much I can't go. I will love to hear who wins the contest and hopefully we will get good pics and video of the get together :)
But the whole fundraiser puts every thing in perspective and lets me know how much harder things can be... bid high and bid often guys!!! |

have you seen how much the radiator tee went for? now that's the most expensive t-shirt I ever did see and worth it because it's charity.

Wow, that's great! $177.49! Though there was another one that went for $50. The cool thing about that one is I've never seen it anywhere.

I believe you could purchase the radiator T-shirts through Pixies discs, maybe, or they were some promotion from that site. |

Oh, I like that in green, actually. Very nice. But Violet was kind enough to send me a shirt anyway since I did send a donation anyway.
I might have to buy the red Manta one, though. Cheers for that.

Wow, I missed out on this! I would have bid for fun and to help.
Is there some other way to send a donation? I'm a charitable type of guy.
I would send a donation if you are still looking for contributions, and I have this really great poster from the Davis show that would look even better signed....
But I would donate anyway if that's not possible.

From Violet's other thread:
I just listed a Death To The Pixies t-shirt, signed by Charles and the rest of the Pixies, on Ebay. The proceeds are going to benefit a family in our community who has triplets the same age as Jack. They have needed, and continue to need, a lot of medical intervention, which has been a financial crisis. They've also required a full-time nanny, and it is wiping out the family's resources. The parents have recently divorced from the strain, actually -- and so its an even more critical time for the wonderful mama of those babies. I am asking you kind and spunky dot-netters to pitch in and bid on this t-shirt. I will be placing some other autographed reunion t-shirts up in the next few days. If you can't afford a t-shirt, consider sending five or ten bucks to:
THE STEWART TRIPLETS FUND, PO Box 50310, Eugene, OR 97405.
Every donor will receive a hand-written thank you from me and Charles. Muchas Gracias.

I recently won a death to the Pixies shirt and I am very happy to be able to help out! I will even send some extra money by mail to show support! I don't want to sound begging, but would it be possible to maybe send some money along with a Pixies / Frank Black CD cover to be signed?

You guys are all welcome to send a cd cover to be signed, sure! Just know there will be some lag time before our guy is back from this tour to get those things signed and shot back in the mail. Same with the promised thank you letters. Patience. They will come. |

oh wow thanks soo much!! I also got the amazing shirt in the mail (I am zoso4sale from eBay) thanks!! I'm still trying to decide which one I should send (Trompe le Monde, Surfer Rosa or Doolittle). I'm kinda thinking I should pick up a Frank Black CD instead to send(would that be more appropriate?). Above all I am glad that I can help out with the triplets.
