Has Frank been on Conan since the performance of "Freedom Rock" in 1994? |

I thought it was Craig "Douchebag" Killborn's show where he was playing Cold Heart with Dave P. |

Yeah, it was Killborn because I remember him goofing up which record CHOS was on. He said DW.

When Kilborn introduces FB he says..."He just released two solo records, SIMULTANEOUSLY, UNHEARD OF IN THE INDUSTRY"(Kilborn was speaking of 'Black Letter Days' and 'Devil's Workshop'), Sounds Familiar??? Doesn't it? didn't he just release two solo albums one being 'Fastman' the other being 'Raiderman' ?????
Kilborn also says "Playing 'Cold Heart of Stone' from his 'Devil's Workshop' CD , read the cd you have in your hands 'douchebag', its on 'Black Letter Days'....
......here's 'Cold Heart of stone' from the album 'Black Letterdays.....Click link below:

BLD and DW are two separate albums; FMRM is a double album. |

I'm not sure if you're serious???
But....if you are serious I understand FMRM is a double album.....I was just trying to be funny...Craig Kilborn said in 2002 when FB was about to play (its on the vid linked above): he said of Frank Black ... "He just released two solo records, SIMULTANEOUSLY, UNHEARD OF IN THE INDUSTRY"(Kilborn was speaking of 'Black Letter Days' and 'Devil's Workshop') I was just pointing out a similarity ....... |

Yeah. Whereas BLD and DW can be bought separately, FM and RM is one two-disc album.
Interestingly, Tom Waits released 2 solo records on the same day. As did Paul Westerburg. It's a rare move for an artist, but not unheard of. |

Thanks for bumping this up. I'd nearly forgotten about it. Though in these times of YouTube and other video-sharing sites, one doesn't have to worry too much about missing a singer on a talk show or whatever. It'll be online soon enough.

So do we have any clue what he's going to play? I have a bad feeling it will be "My Terrible Ways" or "Raiderman" instead of a rocker like "Deadman's Curve" or "Johnny Barleycorn". Come on FB, rock that thing. Your last two tv gigs like this were CHOS and IBT, so you're due for a loud one ;-) -FranknWeezer

Um, Frank looked like Frank. He stood at the mic with bended knee, head tilted back, his voice was deep. EDF didn't wear his hat, and he was playing a different guitar. Short little lead guitar solo and sax solo. Backup vocals were nice. EDF screamed "HEY!" like he hates the bitch. Frank was very polite, he nodded and waved several times, and it was all nicey nice when Conan came out to thank Frank for coming on the show. Hope that gives a clearer picture...
Of course Conan plugged FMRM and their Monday night show in NYC.

you mean they didnt give you a tape or anything?
Well I have to say, I'm just home from work and I have been drinking in the subway all the way home cause I knew frank was playing on conan.
I dont know, I was just in the mood. Conan introduced Frank as an usual guess, which made me eeeck my right leg and all. I missed the begining of the show, but, man, he should have been exited or something. he just said: alright, my next musical guess has just released a cd called....
anyway, feedback, feedback... I realize now that I saw frank, that I'm so much younger than he is... and somehow I'm having trouble feeling what he's singing about. I don't know, not so much what he's singing, but how he's singing it. The thing is, I know it's good, I know it is. I'm probably gonna cry about this song when I'm 46, but i'm just not on the same rythm... just like bees you know, they all dance on a different rythm. but they're all looking for honey, at least.
that reminds me, that song, honeycomb.. it ends witht he line "i could not find my honeycomb"... makes me cry sometimes, when I'm in the mood.
