I had a party to watch the first 12 sections earlier this year. Fantastic - apparently this will go into 20+ volumes if he has his way.

We can only hope.
Talk about one to go into the movie spoilers thread - I want to quote some lyrics, dammit.

How come people stopped buying Gary Glitters records but not R Kellys?
Perhaps its because of his lyrical genius, as evidenced by all 954 chapters of Trapped in the Closet.

I saw those vids before. Fucking hilarious. Bad non-rap and some incredible amateur dramatics.

Haha, I just watched all 12 of those. Absolutely hilarious. I think you can watch all of them here too.

A radio station here in Seattle used to play an episode a day of Trapped In the Closet and then just tear it apart afterward. How's that for airplay? Ha!
The fact that R thinks he's onto something epic is nothing short of grand mal seizure hilarious. |

It's a pity he didn't stay trapped in the closet.

I've seen lots of people saying that it's meant to be serious, not comical. That can't be right can it?

It's like Snakes on a Plane, no one would bat an eyelid if it was meant to be a spoof, the comedy comes from the fact that it's done with a completely straight face.
This, however, is a spoof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c84RpUXcPZk |

I only saw one chapter, which was hilarious.
I have dial-up so I'm not gonna bother trying to watch any more unless he's pissing on somebody. |

I am finally going to see this, after so many people have told me it was a must.
I hate giving "him" money by renting this, but it may be the only way to experience the horror in all its glory. |

If you're only going to watch one, make sure it's chapter nine. The climax is sheer genius. |

The end of chapter 9 is my favourite part of the whole thing. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. It's just everything about it, the sheer unexpectedness, the echoing of his voice. Classic stuff!
I wish I'd never seen it so I could watch it for the first time again!
