I heard about the great McLusky from this forum, so I thought I'd pass on the link to the lead dude's new band, Furute of the Left. Tracks one and four are k-k-k-killer.

Awesome. Thanks for the link.

I hadn't seen pictures of Falkous before. I was expecting him to look somewhat like John Lydon for some reason.

OK, I'll bite: anybody know anything about the significance of the band's name? I saw the topic title and immediately thought "the Future of the Left is its past". Yes, that's what I do.

Wow, falco has lost some weight and grown his hair out, I could barely even recognize him.

Tracks 2 and 4 are pure filth. Unfortunately they all sound like mclusky offcuts. They are still a 3 piece so they technically just got rid of Jon. Whos band released their second album which is unfortunately as shite as the first bar Girls Music. On another note I actually own the former mclusky bassists bass featured in videos and hundreds of gigs £50 bargain. I'm gonna put it on my wall when I don't still live with my parents, ha.

Another post I found, promise this is the last. I now no longer live with my parents but its still not on my wall. On another note, future of the left released their album end of September and it pretty much picks up where mclusky left off, some real standout tracks, dare I say, as good as anything mclusky did.
Fingers become thumbs and my gymnastic past to name two. Check it!

Where did you get that bass from?
I don't like the album as much as any of Mclusky's so far, but I need to give it more listens. It sounds good, just not as good as Mclusky.

I found Curses to be a bit of a grower, although I still don't like the opening track much.. but as an album, it's a helluva lot stronger than The Difference Between... I don't like Falco with the long hair and tiiiight t-shirts though, he looks too much like a rockstar. ------------------ www.myspace.com/doog = solo choons www.myspace.com/casabonitaband = noisey stuff www.myspace.com/WKtheband = surfrockpop geekery www.myspace.com/ukpixiestribute = Nimrod's Son |

Got the bass from Jon Chapple himself, before he moved to australia he was advertising a bunch of stuff off, I added him on msn asked if he had anything from mclusky he was sellin said he had a broken bass and a flight case for it. I went to watch football in cardiff then went to his house where I bought both the case and the bass for £50 and my mate bought his entire rig. Between me and my mate we have the entire bass setup of mclusky. Bar the bass player, and the bass works now to. I dont even play bass and the flight case I dont want. So if anyone wants a seminal bands flight case complete with fuck this band stickers let me know.
