Zow. Am I the only one here who is speculating far too much far too in advance about the prospects of the progeny of God Himself and a clearly intelligent, artistic, scholarlistic woman? I mean, we're talking world-changing potential here. Or maybe they can just be adorable toddlers.
Anyway, thanks Miss Thing for being kind enough to keep us in loops. From our newswire, we hear the fambly may be in tow for the solo dates? SLC is clean; maybe fun.

Gracias V for Vendetta(great movie!!!).Lots of blessings for the Thompson family and kids.Tell Charles his music is very inspiring(FOR THE IN EXTINCTION GENTLEMAN OUT THERE) and that he is the gentleman the good guys aspire to be.Honestly romantic lyrics and a big heart that tells the truth!!!Fastman Raiderman is the best $19.99 I'll spend this year.Nevermind the so called critics trying to judge the man from his past achievements. He's already a champ for believing in the power of his musical expression that has touched so many different lives from all over the world!!!

'No depression' sounds familiar, that's a song by Uncle Tupelo I think. |

glad folks is readin' the ND piece--I wrote it. really cool to talk to Charles, Rich, David Hood, the rest. and to PF Sloan--Jon Tiven had played me early mixes of his new 'un set for Aug., and looks like I'm going to write about Sloan for Nashville Scene too. anyhow, any criticism of the piece, any reactions, I'd certainly be interested in. I think Black is a fine artist--I did find some fault with "Fastman," I guess, but as I said in the piece, with a mind as fecund as his, cavils almost seem just downright ungentlemanly. I'm not crazy about the production on the record, but Tiven's after this '70s thing, that's his deal. I think it could've sounded a bit more alive. But man, what a great song "In the Time of My Ruin" is, and I love "Elijah" too.
anyway, just thought I'd pop in here, see what inquiring minds think...

Hey there - just wanted to say I really enjoyed the No Depression article. It's so rare to read a piece that feels like it is written by someone who actually communicated with the artist(s) and has a nice dose of constructive criticism. Pretty cool. |
